“ Yes, it's the Ship. Despite being the Ship, I see people coming into the restaurant in their worst attire. I mean please, respect yourselves and the restaurant. Anyway, the Ship has always been a family favourite, my usual order is ribeye but have recently "ventured" to trying others (sirloin is my new favourite, but I tried ribs for that night). Anyway, escargot is a must. The garlic and cheese sauce is definitely to die for. It balances the taste between the garlic and cheese while complimenting the escargot. (My main) the rib (yes 1) was huge! Definitely worth the money as it is soft and chewy. It may be too big for small eaters. The meat is well seasoned as the fragrant and taste penetrates even the thickest part of the rib. Lamb Shank and lamb chop was ordered by my sis and mom. I didn't pick from their plates but i shall try the next time (lamb chop) because I love the seared mains instead of stews. To top it off,a banana split, which we forgot to take the picture as we just attacked it when it came. Prices range from RM60-130 per pax if you order a main & dessert/appetizer. ”
“ The Ship has been around for decades! My parents used to bring me here when I was a child. Oh the good ol days when you don't have to pay for your meals! Sweet joy! Haha. On my anniversary with my then girlfriend, we came here for dinner. The service was still top notch as it was in the past. The waiter greeted us with a smile and guide to our table. Their complementary bread is something that I always enjoy. It goes well with any soup or butter. For appetizers, I ordered myself an oxtail soup (this is the bomb!) and had chicken ala king for my mains. And really their standards are still there. I loved what I had, and just writing this makes me want to go back there for dinner this week! ”
“ The Ship has been around for 3 decades now, with its first outlet being in Jalan Sultan Ismail. Ever since I was a kid, The Ship and Coliseum have been the two places in KL to go for an old school Western meal. For our parents, it was the 'fancy' place they went to during their younger years and even now. My favourite pert of The Ship is their warn dinner rolls that they serve you before your meal together with their salted butter that never seems to taste like the one you have at home. A must try is their Fried Prawns which are already stripped of its shell, thus making it easier to eat. ”
“ The Ship has been around for as long as I can remember. My dad loves going to this place for steak up until now. Whenever we wanted to do Western food as part of family dinner, he just loved his steak. He took me for my first steak here years ago like it was some form of right of passage, and I just feel in love with it. The steak here, up until now, tastes so tender and juicy. I love the fact that I don't have to spend so much time cutting the meat because it is so soft and just falls away easily. It probably doesn't have the best atmosphere, in my opinion, because its dim lighting makes it look more dark than dimly lit. ”
“ The iconic thing about this dining place is that the exterior resembles the bow of a ship. The interior is mostly made out of wood and it is cater for the upper class dining experience. By that you should know the average price for a dinner for two would cost you well over RM150 easily. And when you are paying that much you do get better services where the staffs are well versed and knowledgeable in recommending the right food choices for your liking. ”
